Let us design a custom corsage or boutonniere as your gift for your date. You’ll have no worries of injuries while pinning on flowers because we use shimmer slap bracelets as the standard base for our corsages and our boutonnieres incorporate a magnet clasp. Also, we will coordinate flower, ribbon and accent colors with your evening attire.

We offer dance flowers in standard, deluxe and premium designs. The standard includes beautiful flowers (just one in a boutonniere) with greens and ribbon. Deluxe designs build upon the standard with added sparkle. The sky is the limit on premium designs with upgraded flowers (including additional blooms in the boutonniere), beads, jewels and wire accents. Premium corsages also feature trailing ribbons and an optional pearl, diamante or custom crafted bracelet.

Corsages are $20, $25 and $30+. Boutonnieres are $10, $15, and $20+. Order at least seven days before your school’s dance and we’ll give you a one-step upgrade. We will also match the designs when both the guy and the girl order from us.

Heather’s Valentine’s Day Designs

Heather created some beautiful designs for Valentine’s Day. She’s arranged dozens and half dozens for vases, a triple bloom bud-vase and a fun dish design. The vase arrangements include standard and premium options. We also have 4-piece boxes of Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Home Fashioned Chocolates for a finishing touch. Prices range from $20 for the standard triple-bloom to $95 for the premium dozen.

My parents will celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary today at a family Super Bowl party. Mom asked us to bring a dozen roses with us as a gift from her to Dad. We think this design is more suitable for a man than the usual dozen-in-a-vase.

Who Buys the Flowers?

One of the more interesting questions we encountered while participating in bridal shows this month came from the mother of a bride who is scrambling to organize her daughter’s March wedding. She asked, “Who traditionally pays for which wedding flowers?” To answer her question, we of course turned to a noted authority on such topics: Martha Stewart.

From Martha we learned that traditionally the bride’s family buys all of the floral decorations for the wedding ceremony and reception. The groom’s family buys the corsages and boutonnieres for immediate members of both families. The groom buys the bridal bouquet and boutonnieres for his attendants. The bride buys flowers for her attendants. Martha also says that sometimes the groom’s family offers to buy all of the flowers since the bride’s family invests so much in the reception.

On the first business day of forty-eight weeks throughout the year we deliver a fresh floral design to brighten your office or home and take away the previous week’s container. On four of those weeks the floral creation is designed to look fabulous for at least two weeks thus providing you natural beauty for the whole year while freeing some time for us during busy seasons or for vacations.

This design is the first for 2012. Based our local weather forecast, the white snapdragons, stock and chrysanthemum may be the only “snow” we see this week. The single color blooms contrast nicely with the various green shades of the galax, ruscus and eucalyptus in this elegant winter arrangement.

Before the holiday spirit fades

We created several Christmas season designs in the past few weeks. Before the decorations come down I want to share photos of some centerpieces, a whimsical top-hat basket arrangement, an enhanced Poinsettia, and a couple of wreaths. Too bad we can’t listen to Christmas music all year long.

We designed the fishing themed wreath to decorate my Great Uncle Pete’s grave for the holidays and as a fitting tribute to the florist who introduced floral design into the family genes.

Tabor selected this custom designed corsage for Kayla who accompanied him to last weekend’s Davis High School Christmas Dance. He specially requested the blue gems in subtle recognition of his date’s favorite color.
