In 2008, Heather and Michael Cragun started brainstorming ideas for a family business, meaning a business they could build together and involve their children.  After completing a weekend business seminar offered by the Floral Design Institute (FDI), they decided to pursue floral design.  They devoted the next few years to developing their skills by becoming FDI Certified Floral Designers.

Heather and Michael established The Flower Valet in September 2011 as a home-based custom floral design studio. They enjoy visiting with clients about flowers and creating beautiful arrangements for weddings, funerals, gift giving, and a variety of events.

Heather brings ten years administrative and management experience from private enterprise. Michael has eighteen years management and executive experience in higher education, law and public service.  Together they are raising their three children.
